The david reed memorial golf day

Dear All

Can we just say a massive thank you to you all for giving up your time and money and supporting us by playing in the 6th David Reed Memorial Golf Day.
We hope you had an enjoyable day with us and played well.

In these uncertain financial times I know it is difficult going to people and businesses and asking them to part with their hard earned cash. Once again we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity we’ve received and are so grateful for everyone’s support which has enabled us to send substantial cheques to The British Heart Foundation £2500 and The Prostate Cancer Charity £500. This year myself and my daughter are taking part in Cancer Research UK Relay for life on 16/7/2011 at Jarrow we will be making a donation of £200 to that from this years event. The total raised from the day was £3235.40 and the running total is £17736.20.

We would particularly like to thank everyone at Richmond Golf Club, from Committee to Green keepers for their help and support over the last 5 years, they have made us so welcome and year after year have turned their superb facilities over to us, Guys you have no idea how grateful we are.

We’d like to thank everyone who has Sponsored holes, donated prizes and provided refreshments: Print Demon Service, The Frenchgate Hotel, Mavis Reed, Peacocks Vending Solutions, Cad Trace, Smithy Farm Bed and Breakfast, Sheila Grieves, The Swaledale Cheese Company, Mark Thornton, Richmond Garage Services, Fred Burr and Mary Clarke, Ian Crissop, Bob Dixon, James Hare, Mike Scott and his Staff. We appreciate your commitment to our event and hope the experience you have had with us has been worthwhile.

There are some people I would personally like to thank, Dave and Sheila Storey without your support we wouldn’t be doing this today and I wouldn’t get to have Real Ale in The Alum House! Chris Moffitt for updating and maintaining our website cheers mate! The British Heart Foundation and The Prostate Cancer Charity for donating the little gifts for the day. Last but by no means least I’d like to thank my family without whose help and support I couldn’t do this, your special people.
